What We Do

The EPA conducts research, inquiries and reviews on emerging and strategic issues, environmental incidents, and decisions which affect ecologically sustainable development in the Territory. The EPA provides advice to the Minister for Natural Resources, Environment and Heritage as well as generally informing the community through publications and seminars.. Advice provided to the Minister must be tabled in the Legislative Assembly by the Minister. This advice and other reports produced by the EPA are available on the EPA website.

The work undertaken by the EPA may be initiated by itself or at the request of the Minister or any member of the public.
