The Environment Protection Authority is an independent statutory body responsible for giving advice and making recommendations to government, business and the community about ecologically sustainable development.  We undertake this through our projects, our strategic partnerships and our commitment to engage with the community. While regulatory functions continue to be carried out by relevant government agencies, the EPA has an important role monitoring the success of government decisions and actions to protect the environment.
